When you are dealing with the lives of cute, cuddly creatures every day, it is very easy to be overcome with emotion, and lose sight of the 'big picture'. When this happens, it is good to have a set of rules to fall back on, so that you don't spend a whole month's budget on an emotional response to a situation.
Over the years we have developed a number of programs and policies that help us make sure the critters are all well cared for, and that we do the best we can for every one of them. Well designed programs let us reach out to those who need our help the most, while properly crafted policies help us make tough decisions when we have to.
Craig Street Cats adheres to and advocates for the No Kill Equation, as put forward by the No Kill Advocacy Center. It is our goal to see that at least 90% of the cats in our care leave our adoption centre alive, either going to new adoptive homes, or as TNR'ed colony cats, returning to their outdoor homes.
