This is horrendously short notice, and absolutely not the way we want to move, but we have been left with no choice, and must ask for your help preparing a new home for the cats. Our current lease expires on April 30, and, although we have been good tenants, the landlord has declined to renew our lease. This means that we must find an appropriate space almost immediately so that we can move the cats by the end of April.
What is an appropriate space, you ask? Well, we need at least 3,000 sq ft of clear, usable space (5,000 would be better, and 10,000 would give us room to grow), with modern plumbing, heating and electrical (200 amps minimum). Air conditioning and air exchange are vital. Lots of windows would be nice. A parking lot for staff, volunteers and customers to leave their cars. Easy access to central bus routes, for our bus riding volunteers. Central location, so it's easy to find. And, of course, the price has to be right. We can afford rent of around $3,000/month.
Of course, once we find this space we will have to renovate it for the cats. We will need offices and retail space, storage, an isolation room for sick cats, an intake room, and free range rooms for healthy, adoptable cats and kittens. A meeting or classroom would be nice, too. All of that will take money and man power. Many of you have volunteered to help with the building and moving phases of this project, which leaves us needing money.
We know you all want to help in any way you can, so we have put together some creative ways for you to join our growing list of builders.

- Builders Bricks: $25. These are a little different than the ones on the front wall of our current adoption centre. The bricks are printed onto vinyl banners, and you can sign, colour or decorate your brick as you like. The banners will be permanently mounted on a wall in the new adoption centre.
- Decorator Tiles: $100. Those who want to help us build in a more literal sense have the option to purchase a ceramic tile, paint or decorate it to your liking, and return it to us for use in the adoption center. Your tiles will be used to decorate the adoption centre in creative ways.
- Brass Name Plates: contributions of $1000 and more will be recognized in a permanent display.
- Brass Plaques and Room Dedications: permanent commemoration of substantial contributions to our new adoption centre.
